Here are answers to frequently asked questions about the SSIA convention. You can always contact SSIA if your question is not on the list.
Is food provided at the event?
Food is provided at the opening reception Friday night and the awards reception Saturday night.
What is the cost to attend?
It is free for SSIA member repairers and their employees. Non-member repairers or retailers may attend $25 per person. You can join SSIA here.
SSIA wholesale members attend free. Non-member wholesalers and non-member suppliers are not allowed to attend, except under special circumstances for certain events.
Can I bring a guest or spouse?
Yes, and this is encouraged. SSIA members can bring family members at no charge. The cost for non-members is $25 per person.
Can non-members attend the show?
Non-member repairers and retailers may attend for $25 per person. Non-member wholesalers or suppliers are not permitted to attend.
When are the contest winners announced?
Contest winners are announced at the awards reception on Saturday.
Do I need to register in advance?
No, but it is highly recommended because it saves time. Click here to register online.
You can also register in person starting at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Where is the event being held?
Astor Crowne Plaza New Orleans French Quarter, 739 Canal Street, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Is there a room block or discounted hotel rate?
There was, but SSIA's room block is now full. However, there may still be rooms available at the hotel.

Are the educational seminars included in the registration?
Yes, educational seminars are included in the registration.
Will there be opportunities to meet vendors and suppliers?
Yes. Starting at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, wholesalers are allowed to enter the exhibit hall. At 1:00 p.m., the exhibit hall opens to all. On Sunday, the exhibit hall opens at 10:00 a.m.
Can I exhibit or sponsor the event?
Yes. We have sponsorship opportunities for all SSIA membership categories. Exhibitors must be SSIA supplier or associate members, and exhibit space can be reserved through the convention website.
Are children allowed?
Yes, children are allowed.
