CONTESTS AT SSIA's 2026 CONVENTION
SSIA is holding two exciting contests at its 2025 convention that offer opportunities for exposure for your business and shoe repair as a whole. You must be a member to participate (click here to join). Here are the details.
SSIA SHINE OFF
To enter SSIA's Shine Off, shine one men's dress shoe (color of your choice) with a mirror shine done by hand. (No shine stands. No machines.) Photograph your shined shoe and send the photos to SSIA by May 1, 2026. (Click here for details on how to enter.)
Three finalists will be chosen from the e-mailed entries to participate in a live shine-off at the convention. The winner will receive a cash prize of $500, a plaque and bragging rights as SSIA's top shoe shiner.
CREATIVE CUP CONTEST
SSIA is announcing its "Creative Cup" contest. What does that mean? The contest combines the craftsmanship required for the Silver Cup Contest with the creativity to finish the entry in a way that showcases your unique skills and also reflects today’s shoe repair market. We hope to show off both the skill and the creativity in our industry. (Click here for details on how to enter.)
Enter one repaired shoe with a new full sole and a new heel. Finishes are at your discretion. Make sure to read the rules before you get started.
