Peter Holmer came
a long way to get to SSIA's convention in
Orlando. Co-owner of Backman's Shoe Service in
Stockholm, Sweden, Peter joined SSIA earlier
this year, has been an active participant on the
association's forum and decided to make the trek
to Orlando to see what he could learn.

and dyeing fabric shoes can be an additional source of
revenue for shoe repair shops according to Tammy Piderit of
Colorful Creations. Piderit addressed shoe repairers at SSIA's
102nd Annual Convention and offered tips to make dyeable
shoe sales work.

said Tom Wilhite of Tauer and Johnson at SSIA's 102nd

much space do you devote to laces?" asked Jerry Klein,
C.Ped. at SSIA's 102nd Annual Convention. "How much does
square footage cost? How much do you make from that
space? If you devote that space to bigger ticket items,
