The Shoe Service
Institute of America was founded in 1904 to
promote and grow business in the shoe repair
industry. Today, more than 100 years later, its mission
remains the same.
SSIA is comprised of
businesses at all levels of the industry sharing
resources and working together to bring more
consumers into shoe repair shops.
SSIA membership is
available in three categories. Click on the
appropriate link below to apply. All
applications will be reviewed by SSIA's board of
directors before membership is conferred.
Repairer/Retailer
Membership
Available to firms
engaged in the shoe repair business at the
retail level. Membership dues are $25 for the
calendar year.

Wholesaler
Membership
Available to firms
engaged in the wholesale distribution of
products to shoe repair retailers. Membership
dues are $50 for the calendar year.

Supplier
Membership
Available to firms
engaged in manufacturing or importing of
products for distribution to
wholesaler-distributors. Membership dues are
$100 for the calendar year. There is also a
$1,000 initiation fee for new supplier members.
