SSIA's Silver Cup Awards

$1,000 Prize to 2008 Grand Silver Cup Winner

The Shoe Service Institute of America's Silver Cup Contest recognizes excellence in shoe repair craftsmanship and merchandising. SSIA is offering cash prizes as part of its 2008 contest -- $1,000 for first place, $300 for second place and $200 for third place.

In order to hold this year’s contest, we need an advance commitment to enter from at least 25 participants. To take your shot at the prize money and the most prestigious award in the shoe service industry, follow these three steps:

1. Complete the entry form and fax or mail to:

Form must be received by March 30, 2008

2. Repair one men’s shoe with a full sole and heel and one men’s shoe (from a second pair) with a half sole and heel. Work will be judged on how well the shoes were restored their original, factory condition.

3. Submit your repaired shoes with their unrepaired mates to:

Shoes must be received by May 24, 2008.
