I have an old pair of men's dress boots that I got 25 years ago, we've been through alot together, but they are old. The leather in the shaft is still quite good, but the leather in the foot is shot, cracked and dry, a couple of holes, one spot has torn from the sole. I've done some DYI repairs, but I think I can do no more. My question is, can this leather be replaced or covered? If such a repair is possible, is it costly? I can't find anything to replace these boots. The soles will likely need repair or replacing as well.
