Hi,
My aspiring model has one leg shorter than the other. She is growing out of it but for now we need about 1/2 an inch cut off one of her shoes. Does anyone know of a shoe repair professional between San Antonio and Dallas who can help. Really anywhere in South Texas we are willing to travel. will mail if necessary but...prefer he see her in both shoes and make recommendations. We would need about 6 pairs of shoes cut down for the first round.

Thanks

you are right in one aspect, the shoemaker should see the shoes.

you asked if one heel could be cut down 1/2 an inch shorter...
It depends on the construction of the shank...be aware that you will be changing the balance of the shoe and that could cause new problems.

Did you think about having the other heel raised 1/2" that could also work, but then you might need to add a lift to the sole of the same shoe. that actually may work better...when she becomes rich and famous, she can have the shoes made with the lift hidden inside!!

Theresa,

My company has been doing orthopedic work for over 35 Years.

Might I suggest that you consider lowering one shoe 1/4" and building up the other 1/4". It will be far less noticeable to the venue.

If you would like, simply send me a picture of the wardrobe that you will be using and I will determine which shoes are feasible.
