Hi all. I live in Metairie, LA and am interested in learning shoe repair and shoe making as a hobby. I have friends who participate in Historical reenactments, and I would like to learn how to make and repair shoes for them. If there is anyone local who could help, please drop me a line. Thanks.

Joe,

The best thing foryou to do is to visit the shoe repair shops in your house - in person and ask them for training.

If you want to travel down I-10 you can train here.
Good luck!
